01.20.25 - Morning Meditation
Hello hello friends. Good morning!
I want to recognize that today is a bit of a weird day in the U.S. You might have today off. You might be trying to focus on one aspect of today instead of another. While on one hand, we celebrate the liberation work of MLK Jr., on the other we face a lot of unknowns. I know for myself it feels a little groundless. I'm not sure where the solid footing is or what the next few years will bring after today.
In reality, we're never really sure what comes next. Our minds do a lot of work around that as we can get really uncomfortable not knowing. For today's meditation, we're bringing the intention of the breath as foundation. The breath is always here and how can we tune in both in our practice and outside of it to better feel grounded regardless of the situation before us? This is not a groundedness that denies what we're feeling, but one that allows us to feel from a place fully engaged in the present.
And if none of that feels accessible to you today, that's okay. We can still be with the breath and quiet together. 💗
